Discover the art, history, and science behind mochi in this hands-on 1 hour workshop with Made for Meimei!

We’ll start with a fun introduction to the history and science of mochi, including a demonstration of how mochi is made the traditional way from steamed glutinous rice that is pounded and kneaded until it transforms into a smooth, stretchy dough (NEW!).

Then it’s your turn to get creative! Each participant will learn how to craft, fill, shape, and customize their own set of 6 mochi to enjoy and take home. Choose from a range of all natural colors and flavors, fillings made from scratch, and fresh fruit. 

All materials are provided including tea and a complimentary Made for Meimei signature ube mochi. Participants will also receive a recipe card plus our favorite tips and tricks so you can continue experimenting with mochi at home.

Children are welcome! One parent or guardian may accompany each child at no additional charge. Due to space limitations, we ask that accompanying guests be limited to one parent/guardian per child.

Note: Parent/guardian attendance does not include an additional mochi kit. Additional kits may be purchased separately if available.

Workshop Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because all workshop materials and ingredients are prepared fresh specifically for each event, cancellations made at least 48 hours before the workshop are eligible for a full refund to the original form of payment

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop will be issued as store credit for a future Made for Meimei workshop or purchase.
