what does meimei
mean?

MeiMei (妹妹), pronounced may-may, means ‘little sister’ in Chinese. My meimeis were the first people I ever made food for and Made for MeiMei symbolizes the heart you put into creating for the people you love.

We were lucky to grow up in a family where our mom made fresh meals from scratch every single day. She always emphasized starting with whole, unprocessed ingredients that, if prepared correctly, could shine on their own with just a pinch of salt.

That crunchy, granola spirit is the same that gets translated into our mochi. Everything starts from simple, one-ingredient basics — rice flour, coconut milk, freshly roasted sweet potato — never any artificial junk or preservatives. Of course it would be easier and cheaper to buy store bought fillings or load up our mochis with refined sugar, but that would not be the Made for MeiMei way!

Made for MeiMei is on a mission to create wholesome snacks that are both nourishing and delicious. We proudly make the first ever mochi with 3g of plant protein, 2g of fiber, and only 4g of sugar.
